Privacy Policy

The short version: What you document stays on your phone. We don’t have accounts, we don’t collect your entries, photos, receipts or documents, and we don’t sell or share anything about you.

Who we are

ExhibitFile (“we”, “us”) is an app for keeping dated records — notes, screenshots, photos, documents and receipts — and turning them into binders you can share.

Information stored on your device

Everything you add to ExhibitFile — cases, entries, notes, key dates, receipts, amounts, photos, screenshots and documents — is stored only on your device, inside the app’s private storage. We do not receive, upload, view or keep a copy of it. If your device is backed up to iCloud, that backup is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the app. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. To confirm which plan you have, we may use a subscription service provider (such as RevenueCat), which receives an anonymous app identifier and your purchase records from Apple. It does not receive anything you document in the app.

Permissions the app asks for

Photos — so you can attach screenshots and photos you choose.
Camera — so you can photograph receipts and documents.
Face ID — only if you turn on App Lock. Face ID is handled by your device; we never receive your face data.

Only the items you pick are added to the app. You can change these permissions anytime in your device’s Settings.

Sharing

Information leaves ExhibitFile only when you choose to share it — for example, when you create a binder and send it by email, text or another app. Once shared, it is handled by whoever you sent it to and the service you used to send it.

Deleting your information

You can delete any entry, receipt or case in the app. Deleting the app removes everything stored in it from your device.

Children

ExhibitFile is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

ExhibitFile is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide legal advice.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the effective date above. If we ever begin collecting information we don’t collect today, we will explain it here and ask for your permission in the app where required.
